The future of weightlifting in Australia is looking bright following confirmation this month of partnerships with three major sponsors.
AWF is excited to announce a two-year, $20,000 partnership with Leisure Concepts Australia. Leisure Concepts Australia is the Australian dealer for Eleiko Sport.
Leisure Concepts will invest over $10,000 annually into the AWF for 2015 and 2016, and will receive naming rights for the Eleiko AWF Club Challenge in those years.
The partnership will also enable clubs to purchase Eleiko equipment through the AWF store at discounted rates. And over the next two years, Leisure Concepts will provide goods for grass roots developments, and for the AWF to use for marketing purposes.
We will begin to stock the Eleiko equipment in our store during December, so be sure to keep your eye out on social media.
AWF has also signed a two-year partnership with Sylvia P Sportswear.
Sylvia P has had a long relationship with Olympic weightlifting, dating back to the days when Daniela was in the Cougars gym at Chandler.
Sylvia P has been the supplier for the Queensland Weightlifting Association for more than 10 years, and recently it was responsible for the suits for the lifters that competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Over the next 2 years, Sylvia P will have exclusivity to supplying the AWF with the following products for teams and through our store:
- Weightlifting suits
- Weightlifting shorts (compression and non-compression)
- Shin sleeves
- Shorts / bike pants (compression and non-compression)
- Tights / leggings of any length (compression and non-compression)
- Sports crops or bras
We will begin to bring Sylvia P stock into our online store in December, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels.
And finally, AWF is excited to announce a two-year partnership with Where2Travel.
Where2Travel has provided great services for Australian teams for many years, getting us to and from International championships on reputable airlines, with minimal stopovers, and at a respectable price.
During the next two years, the Australian Weightlifting Federation will receive a rebate on our annual spend on International travel over and above $50,000.
Both the Australian Weightlifting Federation and Where2Travel are excited about the partnership, as we continue to build on a well-established relationship.
Although where2travel and the AWF have had a relationship for over two years it is terrific to formalise our support for the next two years and hopefully beyond,” Where2travel general manager Steve Bouyer said.
“Fiona Provis from where2travel Malvern has been looking after the AWF since our relationship began, and will continue to offer her experience in bringing the best available travel arrangements to the team members and the support staff.
“Please contact Fiona on 03 9576 0166 or email [email protected]
for any personal holidays you would like assistance with. We look forward to our relationship with the AWF well in to the future.”
Make sure you support the AWF through our store and grab some quality Australian made products for your love ones for Christmas.
