Rio Olympic organisers have announced ticket prices for all sports for 2016, including weightlifting.
A-class tickets for the preliminary round will be priced at approx. $28 Australian, while B-class tickets will cost as little as $19. Top line tickets for the weightlifting finals will set you back about $47, with B-class tickets $33.

Organisers have promised to make ticket prices for all the sporting events accessible to ensure the events are open to everyone. About 7.5 million tickets will be issued, of which organisers say 3.8 million will cost less than $30 Australian dollars.

The first round of tickets sales will be held early next year. We will release more details when they come to hand.

The Rio 2016 Volunteer Program has opened.
The program is your opportunity to take part in the world’s biggest sporting event, helping with many of the activities that will be carried out in Rio de Janeiro and cities hosting football matches. Volunteering will also benefit you by enriching your CV, expanding your network, and giving you the chance to meet people from different cultures. You will also be able to enjoy exclusive training courses that will be provided for selected candidates.

Do not miss out on this great opportunity to participate and make the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games part of your own life’s history. Check out the Rio 2016 Volunteer Program portal here:

People who want to volunteer specifically for Weightlifting, should send an email to Pedro Meloni, Weightlifting Sport Manager ([email protected]) with a short resume. Applications will be open until 15 November 2014.
