Congratulations
to all our athletes who competed at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa, a
very successful competition for our sport.
Hailee Jarrett [Kings Langley, NSW] was the first Australian to win a medal at these
Games when she won a bronze in the 48kg category. Jarrett lifted 69kg in the
clean and jerk and 54kg in the snatch.
Australia
took another two bronze medals with Samuel Reichler [Lovely Banks, VIC]
finishing third in the 69kg division in a nail-biting climax while Yasmin
Carter [Bondi Junction, NSW] also finished third in the 58kg category.
